Foundry Medievals

These are Hundred Years War archers sculpted by either Michael or Alan Perry. It's the first time I've experimented with putting flowery bits on the base of a model. I think it's a nice and easy way to add more detail to a base apart from the usual rocks and static grass.

The Knight is a Foundry Barons Wars model, but it was originally released by Citadel as an F4 Feudal. You can see him in the Citadel catalog picture below as Lord Flaxby.

Obviously the last model isn't very Medieval, but I thought I'd put him in here anyway. He's a fairly generic adventurer type. Found here. Unfortunately I forgot to give him eyes!!

  1. Great job on the eyes. Mine are usually cross- or wall-eyed and I soak them off as soon as I can.

It's a very cool adventurer model as well.

    1. Thanks very much. I find it's much easier to paint eyes when they're not really sculpted on to the model. If you have a relatively flat surface to work on it's really easy to tidy them up and even them out with some black paint around the edges.

  2. The adventurer is obviously standing, eyes closed, revelling in his latest conquest!

Great job - the feudals look the business too.

    1. Thank you very much. That's a much better reason why he doesn't have eyes!

  3. More great painting. Can I ask? Are you knocking these models out at a fair old rate or are you posting your previous work?

    1. Thanks a lot. These models were painted a couple of weeks ago, and I finally got around to photographing them the same day I posted them here.
